Let’s take a look at how the Catholic Good Friday prayer for the conversion of the Jews differs from the Vatican II's Novus Ordo prayer.
Unfortunately, to this day, the Jews do not acknowledge our Lord Jesus Christ, their own Messias who came to redeem them, to whom all the prophets in the Old Testament point, and whose very Passion was foretold so beautifully in so many ways, most strikingly by the prophet Isaias and also in the book of Wisdom.
Our Divine Lord Himself emphasized that His coming was, in the first instance, for the Jews, since they had been chosen by God as the people to whom He would entrust His law, His teaching, and His prophecies.
“I was not sent but to the sheep that are lost of the house of Israel.” (Matthew 15:24)
He greatly lamented the fact that His own people stubbornly denied Him.
“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered together thy children, as the hen doth gather her chickens under her wings, and thou wouldest not?” (Matthew 23:37)
With the Death of our Lord Jesus Christ and His Holy Resurrection, the Old Covenant came to an end, because its mission, its purpose, had been fulfilled, and the New Covenant was now established in the Blood of Christ. In no wise was this more strikingly represented than by the tearing of the temple veil when Christ breathed His last upon the Cross:
“And Jesus again crying with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And behold the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top even to the bottom, and the earth quaked, and the rocks were rent.” (Matthew 27:50-51)
St. Paul very clearly stated that with the introduction of the New Covenant, the Old Covenant ended.
“In Christ it is made void” (2 Corinthians 3:14); and further: “He taketh away the first, that he may establish that which followeth.” (Hebrews 10:9)

Catholic teaching on this matter is really not difficult to understand: Christ established the New Covenant to fulfill the Old; by means of this, the Old Covenant ceased, and salvation can now only be had in Christ, in this New Covenant.
For this very reason, Holy Mother Church offers public solemn prayers, every year on Good Friday, for the conversion of all non-Catholics to the True Faith. This includes not only schismatics and heretics but also Jews and pagans. Even people who are not Catholic and disagree with the Catholic Church, can nevertheless see that it makes sense for an institution that proclaims itself to be the only Ark of Salvation to offer public prayers for the conversion of all those who are not yet her members.
In the Vatican II Sect, however, things are a bit different. Since John XXIII and the Second Vatican Council, the institution masquerading as the “Catholic Church” has embraced a different gospel, one in which the Jews of our day — that is, the members of apostate Judaism — are at least de facto exempt from the obligation to convert to Christ and His Church, and instead may find salvation in their own (alleged) covenant with God. This new teaching, this heresy, is found not only in various Vatican II's Novus Ordo documents.
This is clearly seen in the fact that the Catholic Good Friday prayer for the conversion of the Jews has been replaced by the Novus Ordo Sect with a prayer that asks God to bless them so they would continue faithfully on their path.

CATHOLIC PRAYER (Before Vatican II) | NOVUS ORDO PRAYER (After Vatican II) |
Let us pray likewise for the faithless Jews: that the Lord our God may remove from their hearts the veil of unbelief: and that they may come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ our Lord. Let us pray. Almighty and eternal God, who drivest not away from Thy mercy even the faithless Jews: hear our prayers, which we offer for the blindness of that people: that acknowledging the light of Thy truth, which is Christ, they may be delivered from their darkness. Through the same Jesus Christ, thy Son our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, ever one God. world without end. Amen. | Let us pray for the Jewish people, the first to hear the word of God, that they may continue to grow in the love of his name and in faithfulness to his covenant. Let us pray. Almighty and eternal God, long ago you gave your promise to Abraham and his posterity. Listen to your Church as we pray that the people you first made your own may arrive at the fullness of redemption. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen. |

How is it that we went from “faithless Jews” to Jews being “faithful”? Are they, or are they not, faithful to God’s teachings and revelation?
In comparing the two prayers above, one can easily see the difference between the two religions. We can finally say that they are not the same religion. This case in point shows the difference in theology between the Catholic Church and the Novus Ordo Sect.
We have read the prayer of the Catholic Church for the Jews. What a beautiful, charitable petition to Almighty God — that the Jews, who so far have failed to recognize their Savior, would, by the assistance of God’s grace, come to embrace Him, so that they may also become partakers of Eternal Life. Why would anyone seek to change it?
But how about the Vatican II's Novus Ordo prayer? The contrast is striking. The Novus Ordo prayer has completely falsified the Catholic understanding of the Old and New Covenants and distorted the position of apostate Judaism. We see that the Vatican II Church officially prays on Good Friday that Jews grow in faithfulness to God Covenant! This is heresy and apostasy. The Old Covenant was revoked with the Coming of Christ and no longer can be observed without sin (de fide). Thus, Jews are not faithful to God’s Covenant, and they cannot be faithful to His Covenant until they convert and observe the New and Eternal Covenant of Jesus Christ.
Praying for Jews to grow in faithfulness to God’s Covenant, indicates that the Old Covenant is valid and that Jews can be faithful by observing it. This is apostasy; it is a denial of Christ. It proves that Vatican II "popes" were not true Popes, for they have approved and promulgated this apostate liturgy. The Catholic Church does not and cannot officially pray, as the Vatican II sect does, that Jews grow in faithfulness to God’s Covenant.
And so we once again see the stark contrast between the Catholic Church, faithful Bride of Christ, and the Modernist Vatican II Sect, the unfaithful harlot. The latter has replaced the Catholic prayer for the conversion of the Jews with a heretical petition to make them grow in their supposed “faith” and “covenant with God.” By doing so, it has succumbed to the political correctness of our time, which sees every opposition to the Jewish religion as an unpardonable insult against the Jewish race. In this manner, we can apply the words of the Evangelist from 2,000 years ago to the false Modernist church in our day:
“Yet no man spoke openly of [Jesus], for fear of the Jews.” (John 7:13)

The Correct Teachings of the Catholic Church on Judaism
Pope Eugene IV, Council of Florence, Cantate Domino, 1441, ex cathedra:
“The Holy Roman Church firmly believes, professes and teaches that the matter pertaining to the law of the Old Testament, of the Mosaic Law, which are divided into ceremonies, sacred rites, sacrifices, and sacraments, because they were established to signify something in the future, although they were suited to divine worship at that time, after our Lord’s coming had been signified by them, ceased, and the sacraments of the New Testament began; and that whoever, even after the passion, placed hope in these matters of the law and submitted himself to them as necessary for salvation, as if faith in Christ could not save without them, sinned mortally. Yet it does not deny that after the passion of Christ up to the promulgation of the Gospel they could have been observed until they were believed to be in no way necessary for salvation; but after the promulgation of the Gospel it asserts that they cannot be observed without the loss of eternal salvation. All, therefore, who after that time (the promulgation of the Gospel) observe circumcision and the Sabbath and the other requirements of the law, it declares alien to the Christian faith and not in the least fit to participate in eternal salvation, unless someday they recover from these errors.”
Pope Eugene IV, Council of Florence, “Cantate Domino,” 1441, ex cathedra:
“The Holy Roman Church firmly believes, professes and preaches that all those who are outside the Catholic Church, not only pagans but also Jews or heretics and schismatics, cannot share in eternal life and will go into the everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels, unless they are joined to the Church before the end of their lives; that the unity of this ecclesiastical body is of such importance that only those who abide in it do the Church’s sacraments contribute to salvation and do fasts, almsgiving and other works of piety and practices of the Christian militia productive of eternal rewards; and that nobody can be saved, no matter how much he has given away in alms and even if he has shed blood in the name of Christ, unless he has persevered in the bosom and unity of the Catholic Church.”
Pope Benedict XIV, Ex Quo Primum (# 61):
“The first consideration is that the ceremonies of the Mosaic Law were abrogated by the coming of Christ and that they can no longer be observed without sin after the promulgation of the Gospel.”
Pope Benedict XIV, Ex Quo Primum (# 59), March 1, 1756:
“However they are not attempting to observe the precepts of the old Law which as everybody knows have been revoked by the coming of Christ.”
Pope Pius XII, Mystici Corporis #’s 29-30, (1943):
“… the New Testament took the place of the Old Law which had been abolished… Jesus made void the Law with its decrees… To such an extent, then… was there effected a transfer from the Law to the Gospel, from the Synagogue to the Church… that, as our Lord expired, the mystical veil which shut off the innermost part of the temple and its sacred secret was rent violently from top to bottom. On the Cross then the Old Law died…”
