"And seeing the star they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
And entering into the house, they found the child with Mary his mother, and falling down they adored him; and opening their treasures, they offered him gifts; gold, frankincense, and myrrh."
~ St. Matthew 2:10-11
The names of the Three Magi, Three Wise Men or the Three Kings are not written in the Gospel. Thanks be to God for the Catholic Church. Holy Tradition tells us the names of the Three Kings: St. Melchoir, St. Gazpar and St. Balthazar.
The Three Kings were among the first worshippers of God the Son. They came from different places outside Israel. They represented the Gentiles! God did not manifest Himself only to the Jews but also to the Gentiles, to the whole world.
The Three Kings travelled miles and miles and miles to find the Messiah. They found God through the Star. They followed the Star. And the Star did not mislead them. The Star guided them and brought them to Jesus.
When the found the Incarnate Word of God, they immediately fell on their knees and worship the Baby Jesus! They already knew that that Jesus was and is God. They were truly Wise Men! They were Wise for recognizing Jesus as the Messiah and God. If they did not believe Jesus was God, why would they fell on their knees? Why did they worship Him? Yes! They knew that Jesus was and is truly God. This is very sad story. Most of the people of Israel at that time refused and even in our time refuses to believe that the Son of Mary was and is the Messiah. But the Three Wise Men who were not even Jews was able to recognize the truth of the Divinity of Jesus.

After worshiping the Infant God, the Three Kings did not return to Herod! First they came to see Herod who was the King of Judea. They explained to him that they came to see the prophesied Messiah. As stranger of the land, they made a courtesy visit as a sign of respect. They were then told by Herod to return to him if they successfully find the King of kings. But what did the Three Wise men do? Did they return to king of Judea? No! After finding and worshiping Jesus, the King of kings, the Magi never returned to Herod, the earthly king. The Magi obeyed God rather than Herod.
Reliquary that contains the relics of the Three Kings at the Cathedral of Cologne, Germany
Holy Tradition tells us that the Three Magi died after celebrating Christmas in Sebaste, Armenia in the year 54 A.D. Their remains were brought to Persia. It was transferred to different places. It was brought to Constantinople, to Milan and now in Cologne. The remains, bones or the relics of the Three Wise Men are kept in a beautiful reliquary box at the Cathedral of Cologne, Germany.
So, what are the good examples of the Three Kings that we should follow?
So, what are the good examples of the Three Kings that we should follow?
First, the Magi followed the Star! Without the Star, it would be difficult for them to find Jesus. It was the Star who led them to Jesus.
As Catholics, we need to follow the Star of the Sea or the Morning Star who is the Blessed Virgin Mary! She will always lead us to Jesus. We should never stop loving the Blessed Virgin Mary. We should always ask her Intercession because She is the Lovely Daughter of God the Father, the Immaculate Mother of God the Son and the Holy Temple of God the Holy Ghost. We should never be afraid of loving the Virgin Mary too much because we can never love her more than Jesus did.

Second, upon entering the House, the Magi fell on their knees to worship Jesus. The literally adored the Infant Jesus, a very tiny God.
As Catholics, every time we enter the House of God, we should always kneel to adore the presence of Jesus in the tabernacle. Let us adore Him in the Blessed Sacrament. God is God. He can do whatever He wants. His will must be done. He is an All-Powerful God. If He wants to be in the womb of the Virgin Mary for nine months, who are we to question Him? If He wants to become a small baby, who are we to stop Him? Are we better than Him? God’s thoughts are not our thoughts! His ways are different from ours. When He came down on this earth God became a baby, an infant, a small creature. And when He was about to leave this earth, He revealed to us that in the Holy Mass, the small consecrated bread becomes His Flesh. After the consecration in the Mass, the small Bread or the tiny Host becomes Jesus. Even the smallest particles and fragments of the Host contain the complete Being of Jesus. Like the Magi who knelt down and worship the little Jesus, let us also kneel down and worship the tiny Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. We need to kneel down in front of the Blessed Sacrament! We need to adore Jesus in the Holy Communion.

Third, the Magi obeyed God rather than Herod. They obeyed the King Who made Heaven and Earth than the king of Judea.
As Catholics, we are ought to obey God rather than men. We need to obey the Church of God! We need to listen to the unchanged teachings of God taught to us by the Holy Roman Catholic Church. We need to worship God in the True Mass. If people or even our friends and families persecute us because we are Traditional Catholics, just ignore them and let them be anathema! Do not be carried away by emotions and feelings. Faith is the most important for without which it is impossible to please God. Let us pray for our enemies and persecutors that they will converted and will finally recognize that we, Traditional Catholics, are the true friends of the people and not the Modernists.
The heretics of Vatican II were able to implement their errors and heresies around the world in the name of obedience. The Pope has no power to change the sacraments. The Council of Bishops have no power to change the Bible or the Word of God. The Pope and the Bishops are just guardians of the deposit of Faith. They are not above God's Law.
The Pope has no power to change the Mass. That is why we always stick to the Mass of All Times, the Traditional Latin Mass. We always obey unchanged dogmas and teachings of the Jesus which have been handed down to us from the Holy Apostles. We only believe what we received from the Holy Apostles!

St. Anthony of Padua Chapel in Hindang, Leyte, Philippines
Before I conclude, I only mentioned above the three examples of the Magi that we should follow but there is the fourth one. The fourth one is when the Three Kings offered gold, frankincense and myrrh to Jesus. Let us also offered something to Jesus. We are always asked by the Catholic Church to support the needs of the Church. The Church is everywhere because the Catholic Church is universal. The Church in the Philippines is not only for the Filipinos. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass offered in the Philippines is not offered only for the Philippines. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass offered in the Philippines is for the whole world, for the whole Church, for all of us sinners and for the Poor Souls in Purgatory.
So, I am asking your help to offer your support for the Church of St. Anthony of Padua in Hindang, Leyte, Philippines. The Catholics in the Philippines is part of the Mystical Body of Christ. Therefore, you are not only helping the Catholics in the Philippines but the entire Church. Of course, you do not need to offer gold, myrrh and frankincense. You can donate whatever amount.
